what would happen if we cooked food in an “indigestible” fat like wax?

I’ve seen a lot of people trying to cook without oil for dietary reason and it made me wonder, what would happen if we cooked food in an “indigestible” fat like wax? Of course wax is only an example, I’m thinking of a fat that is not absorbed by the human body and doesn’t produced any nasties when cooked.

Fat substitutes do exist, olestra for example. Some of them don’t have the best “outcomes” if you prefer not having GI upset and diarrhea.
