The 3 big waterspots between the continents are called oceans. However, a sea is at least partly surrounded by land. Thats the difference in a short explanation 😉

In general, seas are shallower and cover a smaller area than oceans. Seas typically border land, and tend to have more flora and fauna diversity. Finally, not all seas connect with the larger, interconnected mass of water that consists of all the oceans and most seas.
