What’s the difference between AR, VR and WebXR/3D?

Please help me understand what’s the difference between AR, VR and WebXR/3D.

AR = Augmented Reality – This is essentially a HUD (Heads Up Display)-type overlay projected onto the real world. Think Google Glass.

VR – Virtual Reality – This is a fully computer generated environment that seeks to immerse the user. Think Oculus and the like.

WebXR is a programming tool that supports AR and VR devices.
