Sweetcorn is the fresh picked kernels of maize. They are yellow and moist and sweet. You can eat them as corn on the cob as well. You usually eat it as part of a meal.
Popcorn is kernels of maize that first have been dried, then heated at a high enough temperature that the remaining water explodes, making the kernel explode into a white, crispy, fluffy, dry shape. You can sprinkle salt on them, or butter, or sugar, or toffee. It is often sold in packets as a snack.
