If you’re asking why and how the placebo effect works (i.e., the mechanism behind it), we don’t really know. We can describe the phenomenon and theorise as to why it exists, but we can’t go “Well this part of the brain triggers _this_ function which affects _this_ function and _that_ perception then triggers these other functions”.
