Well if you wait long enough, your body starts burning stored calories. Then, you aren’t nearly as hungry, because it isn’t useful. That’s actually what usually happens overnight.

because brain does not like to torture itself. If there is no food, such as during a famine, having constantly getting message that “dude you are hungry” helps no one, in fact you get kick of energy when starting a fast, brain telling your body to go hunt! Of course if you whiff food smell it comes back like a mothertrucker.
