Where are all the linemen coming from that are heading to Florida?

Linemen is a profession that ideally is staffed significantly above what’s required for routine maintenance etc. That way if a bunch of lines are damaged they have people ready and trained to quickly repair them. The ones heading over are going to be from among the ‘extras’ from all across the country.

At first I thought the question was asking for a better offensive line for a team in Florida.
I know a guy who lives in Bangor, Maine who is a lineman and drives down to Florida to respond to hurricane events. Says he starts getting paid the minute he steps out of his door.
This is the company I am seeing everywhere. I have seen them in any state where I have experienced a natural disaster.
