Where did the Mongols find resources to conquer such a massive land area?

By getting tribute from the lands they conquered. They were brutal for a reason. They basically said become our vassals or you will regret it. They made a lot of places regret it.
They moved fast and brutally. When they conquered a territory they would let them largely self-govern. In turn, the territory would provide resources to the Mongols. Which makes it easier for them to conquer the next territory. And they didn’t have to worry too much about keeping previously conquered territory under their power. Not when rebelling meant the Mongols would effectively erase your civilization from history.
