Where do small handheld rocks come from?

I was watching Youtube and saw a video about rocks pop up into my Youtube algorithm, the title made me think of hand held small rocks you find in forests and stuff, the video was sadly just about where rocks in general come from, so it didn’t answer my specific question. How do small random rocks end up in forests and in the middle of nowhere, especially when there’s no big rock structures, or rivers to carry them nearby?

Small rocks come from bigger rocks!

Small rocks can end up in distant forests due to processes like glacial activity, which can move rocks over long distances.

Over thousands of years, glaciers can carry and deposit rocks far from their origin. Similarly, wind can transport smaller rocks and dust particles. Animals and human activities can also disperse rocks.

AND… small rocks can become bigger rocks again….
