Which side in chess would win if both players played “perfectly”?

Isn’t chess a “finite” game where no luck is involved? Are computers able to calculate perfect strategies for both players?

And if yes, then which side is at the advantage?

On practical matches white wins 5% more often. If you watch profecional matches you will hear something like that:

“He behind n point so he need to win. To his luck he is playing white ”

” He vehind n point and playing black. He needs to win but probably ut will be draw”

With imperfect players, white wins 55% of the time across skill levels, assuming that holds and the hypothetical perfect chess engine can win sometimes then I’d expect white to have the advantage.
