It’s like the pineapple juice does something to my fingers? and it doesn’t seem to wash off with just water?

Pineapple has an enzyme in it called bromelain. Bromelain is such a strong enzyme it can dissolve meat. It’s commonly used as a tenderizer for cooking because of this. This is also why pineapple commonly makes your mouth feel funny when you eat it or drink the juice.

The pineapple has begun to tenderize your fingers, literally dissolving the skin away. What’s left is super smooth because all the rough spots and imperfections are gone.

LPT: DO NOT BATHE IN PINEAPPLE JUICE.
