why are bloodstains hard to remove? what makes hydrogen peroxide special??

especially with dried blood! bleach can work too some times, but it’s not as efficient as hydrogen peroxide. i don’t want my clothes to have a faint outline of blood on them anymore

also, for context, i unfortunately have a uterus;

Blood stains aren’t too hard to remove if you know how. There are many methods. First, treat the stain as quickly as you can. Use cold water only. Usually I will put some liquid dish soap on it and scrub for a bit, then rinse. Then I’ll spray with Shout and let it sit for a bit, then throw it in the washer using cold water only. Inspect carefully before putting in the dryer, because if there’s any stain left, heat will set it and make it impossible to remove.

Another way to get rid of blood stains is to soak the item in cold salt water. Then wash in the machine with detergent and cold water.

Also, get yourself a few pairs of black undies to wear when you have your period. Black won’t show stains as much.
