Are these ideas really based in reality? Is it mostly stereotype?

If you order specific products from china, maybe you can get what you expect but it takes awhile to get shipped and arrive. A lot of “cheap chinese goods” are local sellers trying to sell a different good (material and time to build) and act like it is the same product as something that looks like it.
