Why are fridges in cold climate countries not mounted into the wall of a house so the ambient air could cool the inside?

I keep my chest freezer in my unheated garage.

Goods in there are supposed to be frozen, so below freezing ambient temperatures are ok. Saves a bit of electricity overall, and frees up space in or near my kitchen.

If I kept my fridge out there, all of my stuff would spoil in the winter, since fridges do not normally have a way to heat the interior above freezing.
