why are most gummy vitamins portioned out to exactly 2 gummies?

As the question says: why not 1? Why not 3+? Is there a reason most companies keep it at 2?

I always thought it was to sell more bottles but also to satisfy people’s desire to always have more than one without constant lawsuits from overeaters.

If you have to eat two, the actual number of doses in the container is half of what it looks like. They can put “QTY: 100” on the label and let you figure out for yourself that it’s only 50 doses. This allows them to *appear* like they’re selling you more, while actually selling less.

If you compare the cost/ea between gummies and ordinary pills, you’ll realize that you’re spending WAY more for gummies. Just buy some vitamins in tablet form and get your gummy candies in the shape of worms or little bears. You’ll save a *lot*.

Also, at least in the US, the supplements market is almost entirely unregulated so they can make whatever claims they want and there is no testing as to whether you’re actually getting what’s in the label, making it even sillier to spend that much money for gummy candy.
