Why are phone carriers no longer supporting phones that run on a 3G network?

* Most carriers are deploying 5G networks now.
* Supporting older technology costs money and as more customers switch to 4G and 5G, there is less reason to invest money in supporting 3G.
* But there are always older users who don’t care about upgrading and as long as they are on the network, the carriers have to support those devices.
* So forcing older devices off the network allows them to focus their money on newer technology.
* This is an issue in all technology industries that support users with devices.

Think of 3G as being VHS…
4G being DVD
5G is streaming

Netflix stream and still do DVD… do you think they still do VHS?
