why are sheets still cold even if you’ve been under think blankets that are supposed to trap in heat?

I’ve always been confused about this because I sleep under many thick soft blankets yet my sheets always seem to be cold when they should warm up from being trapped in my body heat.

This could be the issue of the *feeling* of hot or cold being related to the heat transfer and not the temperature. Your body is generating heat and shedding it.

I’m unclear on what the situation is, like when are you feeling the sheets are cold, how does it compare to a room temperature bed when you first get in?
