Why are some canullas able to stay in the body for weeks while others only a few days?

I’m a diabetic that is trying out the freestyle libre continuous monitoring (let’s you just scan over the patch instead of pricking fingers) and it is stated to be good to stay in the body for 2 weeks, however my insulin pump ones I’m told to change every 3 days. I thought maybe it was material but they both appear to be steel canullas, can anyone explain why ones good for 3 days and the other 2 weeks? Thanks!

Non-scientific answer here (but I’m also a diabetic using the libre and pump). I believe it has to do with the fact that the pump site is infusing insulin (active), whereas the libre cannula just sits under the skin without introducing any fluids to be absorbed (passive).
