why are spots bitten by mosquitoes always itchy

Recently mosquitoes started to bite me more often and I found myself scratching my body all over the place
Why?

When mosquitoes “bite” you they are actually sucking a needle like proboscis (nose) into your skin so they can suck your blood like that evil vampires they are. When they do this they also inject an anti-coagulant into your body so the blood can’t clot while it’s getting it’s drink on. The anti-coagulant itself is what causes the irritation because it triggers a histamine reaction that lasts until the body is healed and rid of the anti-coagulant.

I belive that it’s because the inject a toxin that makes the blood not coagulate and as a side effect it makes you itch. Might very well be wrong tho.
