Yes. Brown glass blocks ultraviolet radiation from sunlight that would turn beer skunky.

However, it doesn’t block all the UV.

Yes. Sunlight can damage wine, beer, etc. That’s actually why Corona has been having a problem with their beer going bad really easily, clear bottles.

Can anyone clarify why lager tends to come in green glass? Is this an industry segment thing or something to do with the properties of that particular style?
