After looking at ejection seat parachutes in videos etc I’ve noticed they are all made up of different colours, usually orange, white, grey and brown. Is it for camouflage in different environments?

The colours are multipurpose.
The different colours can be used to either help camouflage the pilot in different environments or signal for help from either spotter aircraft or rescuers. The orange would be best for that.
