Why are there closeup videos of solar flares, but it’s too hot on Venus and Mercury to send rovers?

It’s because we have telescopes we use to look at the sun called Solar Telescopes. Also, there have been several landers that have reached the surface of Venus since the early 70s. They’ve sent back pictures, data on conditions, and even sound.
