Why aren’t flies constantly attracted to our flatulence & buttholes?

Title says it all. Shouldn’t we be fighting clouds of flies every time we let loose an butt zeppelin?

Shouldn’t people with improper wiping techniques be followed by swarms of flies helplessly chasing their itchy anuses, due to the flies’ nagging instinct?

Serious answers only please.

Flies that aggressively went for the buttholes of living creatures likely would have a much higher liklihood of dying, and htus a much lower likelihood of reproducing. Thus traits encouraging flies to do this reproduce less – not more. And those traits do not take hold in the fly population at large.
