– Why aren’t fruits always in season?

Since different countries go through different seasons at different times, why can’t country B be producing that fruit when country A can’t at that time and vice versa?

They are. But some fruits don’t transport as well (like peaches). As a result these types of fruits are hard to find out of season in your region.

They don’t. There are always two seasons on earth, one in the northern hemisphere and the exact opposite one in the southern hemisphere.

If its winter in the US, it is winter in France and summer in Australia.
If its autumn in New Zealand it is spring in Iceland and in China.

Certain fruits need certain weather conditions only provided by a specific season to grow their best and most flavorful.
