Superhydrophobicity, the real name of the effect, is a property of nano-scale structures of the surface. Making those structures is expensive, and it’s not something you can do with a paint or coating. Good old Teflon is almost as good, and much cheaper if you ignore the forever plastic problem.

basically those things make liquids bounce like crazy due to lack of sticking
