Like, instead of tasers, live ammunition, etc, why isn’t there some sort of investment in making tranquilizer guns to incapacitate criminals?

Dosage: one man’s sleepy time is another’s coma/death; size differences and body content are the reasons we have nurses and anesthesiologists carefully calculating what the need and how much they need).
Speed: It’s not instant. Even bullets (lethal or non lethal) aren’t instant, but medications through flying syringes are less instant. AND whether it goes into a muscle or directly into a blood vessel will greatly affect how fast it works
