Like, instead of tasers, live ammunition, etc, why isn’t there some sort of investment in making tranquilizer guns to incapacitate criminals?

Metal Gear Solid / Movie tranq guns aren’t real. These chemicals need to be dosed accordingly to weight and aren’t instantaneous otherwise you’d just die. And even with proper dosing there are still risks involved.
Or at least that’s what they want us to believe. 🤔
