Why can’t light be bent by electro magnets if light itself is an EM wave.

Since lights an EM wave , why can’t another electro magnet bend it , considering that lights made up of electric and magnetic components.

Light can’t be bent with magnets, but it can be twisted.

Its quite possible to rotate the plane of polarization of a light beam by running it through a solenoid magnet. I did this in high school, many many moons ago. Its called “Faraday effect”, so you know its pretty old knowledge.
