why can’t we control our organs behavior ?

Even if it would be a bad idea.

Why can’t we control how our organs behave ?

Like “hey send more / less of this / that” or “please consume this already ingested fat now instead of the incoming fat” or maybe “please ejaculate now / later”.

We have an “indirect” control through our thoughts but why not a “direct” one ?

“You” are only a part of your brain. You are co-managing your body with another.

Some people get sick when they read in a car because their reptile brain thinks it’s weird that it feels like the body is moving but they can’t see it. Reptile brain assumes it’s poison and makes them nauseous even though the conscious part knows it’s not poison. Doesn’t matter, you are overruled.

If you really have to go poop and you get to your front door, your “roommate” starts opening your inner involuntary sphincter while you are keeping the voluntary outer sphincter closed. Literally disagreeing on something.

You can make suggestions to your reptile brain by for example taking over breathing and breathing slowly/deeply to relieve anxiety. Or you can imagine dead babies when your co-manager insists on cumming within 30 seconds.

However some things you can never control because it’s not entirely “you”.
