why can’t we hear our own snoring?

You’re asleep. If you did hear it enough to wake up, you would stop snoring before you recognized that you were snoring, and if you don’t wake up from it, then it’s like any sound that you don’t hear while asleep.
I’ve woken myself up by hearing myself snore several times before, so my truth is – you can.
