You totally can. Sports drinks are just , salt, sugar, flavoring, and a ton of marketing.

Just try not to put too much salt in.

It’s going to taste bad though.

You also might want to go with a kosher salt, a lot of table salt comes mixed with iodine to prevent iodine deficency.

Salt, or as it’s more accurately referred to, table salt, is NaCl. It contains sodium (Na) and Chlorine (Cl). It’s a specific salt.

Electrolytes are many different salts, including sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc. So while you can do this, you’d need to include all of them.
