Even if you wanted to memorize stuff, it is much more effective to be systematic. This means consistent reading of the material and somehow organizing that knowledge in your mind. Just trying to remember random facts without a structure is very difficult. Memory can also be trained and that requires focus and concentration. It also works better if you’re somewhat relaxed in a non distracting environment.
