Why can’t you unfold tinfoil?

If you crumple up paper it can be uncrumpled to an extent so why isnt it the same for tinfoil?

Its simply to fragile, when you attempt flatten it back out the force you apply breaks the areas weekend by folding, foil also tends to make smaller folds than paper.
