Languages create new words and borrow them from other languages all the time.
Let’s take googol, that started as the 10 to the hundredth power
Then the company Google came along
Then we use Google as a verb to mean to search on Google
Then in German, we use -en on the end of words to make a verb. We can’t say googlen because that would be pronounced goo-glen so we say googeln, changing the spelling to make it pronounced more or less properly, but the spelling no longer regular.
So to say “I search” I say “ich Googele”
Now imagine that happening thousands of times in dozens of languages
