Why do ants kiss?

Ants have two stomachs (depending on species). One personal for their own digestion and a ‘social stomach’ to hold food until it’s needed by other ants in the colony.
They’ll transfer food to each other orally via a ‘kiss’ or they can store it in their social stomach to bridge the gap of food scarcity kind of like a living food bank.
