Men usually drink more and spend more, but depending on the type of bar they will avoid going to bars with too many men.
If its a sports bar where you go to hang out with the guys and have a beer, then yea, they prefer more men.
But if its more of a social bar or night club, they tend to have cheaper prices for women and attempt to avoid “sausage fests” becuase if you´re going to try to find a date, sex or partner, you´re going to go to where theres more women.
Another issue if its a LGBTQI bar or a bar with a sexual theme like a swingers bar or a strip joint.
many women go to gay bars becuase they feel safer among gay men and also they want the stupid “gay BFF” stereotype and many gay bars which cater to men will activly deny them entry for those reasons.
Lesbian bars will deny access to men becuase you have the typical “she only needs a good cock to go straight” moron or the guys who usually think that many lesbian group of friends has a straight or bi member that will always be easy pickings.
But usually its because guys will go to where they know there are more women, if you go to a bar or a club and you see theres 5-6 guys per woman, you´re probobly not going back if your intention was to find a partner or sex.
