Why do busses, trucks have a nearly horizontal steering wheel compared to regular cars?

Tractor Trailer driver here: They really don’t, they just have the (ability) to pivot that high up do to the angle of the steering shaft. Very few people actually drive like that, to do so is extremely uncomfortable. Most people pull it down, and have the seat just enough off the floor so the air ride works and drive them like cars, way more comfortable.
