I saved up and got a nice, fluffy cat tree for my 2 cats but they still opt to sleep in a cardboard scratcher. It really confuses my brain. How is the rough texture comfy for them?

Actually, I used to change the oil in my car and laid on cardboard while doing it. It’s more comfortable than you’d think. It’s basically a 1/4 inch air mattress. You should try it. I’m not joking.
Cats don’t have the same comfort needs that you have.
