Because almost nothing in a human body is blue and a foreign body (like toothpaste, teeth moulds ect) which is not supposed to stay in/around/on the body for more than necessary is easy to spot and get rid of.
That’s the same reason why paper rolls in restaurants’ kitchens are blue: there are not so many blue foods and if the paper ends up in a dish it’s easy to spot and to be removed.
