Why do desktops generally offer better value than laptops at similar price range?

Answer: pretend you have to make 2 cars
One has to go 60mph
One has to go 60mph and be under 1000 lbs and get more then 40mpg and can’t run over 150 degrees
The first one is gonna be easier and cheaper to design and run
Desktops are:
– easier to change, upgrade, fix
– heat problem is less severe than laptop -> better performance
– the only downside is not portable.
