I’ve not had earrings in for years at a time in the past and the holes have still been as open as it was the last time I had earrings. Whereas I had a lip piercing that after a few days, seems to have almost completely closed up.

Mouths have lots of moisture and are kinda in a constant state of healing things over quickly as it’s dangerous for things to enter the blood stream from all the close to the skin surface blood vessels. (I have lip piercings and asked my piercer cause mine closed up within 30 min)
