why do food manufacturing companies put “serving suggestion” beneath the photos of the product on the packaging?

It’s seems a little redundant to have to explain that my PLAIN Eggo waffles don’t come with blueberries and raspberries on them.

1) Plain Eggo waffles look pretty boring, so they’re at least going to show them with syrup drizzled over them, and clearly some go the extra mile to include fruit, berries, and drinks.

2) When they show all the tasty extras that make the Eggos look great, they need to make it clear that you’re not actually getting those in the box.
