Why do frostbitten body parts, primarily fingers, turn black instead of staying their regular color ?

So as you lose circulation, often quicker with extremities barring a different medical issue, the tissue in that area starts to “die”. Frostbite freezes and prevents your circulatory system from doing it’s job. Happens with a lot of conditions affecting circulation.
