It’s a tiny tube with only one teeny tiny opening that has poop passing by it all day every day. It makes it extremely easy for the opening to get blocked and for infections to happen. If there is an infection and the opening is blocked the infection just makes more and more fluid until the whole thing bursts open. Most body parts have either bigger opening that are harder to block, are in cleaner locations that don’t instantly get infected if they get damaged or both.
