It’s a way of saying “hey this happened and I’m still alive” or “here is something that won’t kill you”

It’s the acknowledgement that in a world bent on destroying creatures who make mistakes, sometimes fate smiles on us, and it makes us think about it… and we laugh because we didn’t die.
