One of my P.E. teachers used to say that “kids didn’t learn to move the wrong way yet” or something along those lines. Pretty much meaning as you get older, you get used to certain ways of doing stuff (eg. how to get up of the ground) in a way less efficient, but maybe a more “dignified” way than a child would, which allows them to regenerate while moving.
