Phones work very hard to preserve battery life, and the screen uses a huge amount of power. So phones spend most of the time with the screen off.

You can’t get burn-in if you’re not displaying anything.

Also pretty much all phones dynamically adjust the brightness by default and keep it low when possible. This saves battery life, and also preserves the screen.
