LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display.
By running electricity through the liquid crystal, we can get it to change the way light passes through it. This is how it can make different colors. By pressing down on the screen, you push the liquid crystal around, so it can’t do its job properly.
The liquid crystal in the pixels are being disturbed by the pressure of your finger causing them to misalign and transmit incorrect colors.
