I make stovetop popcorn a few times a week and my un-popped kernel rate is 0-3 kernels. It’s a skill I’ve worked hard to master over a lifetime of popping corn. Recipe anyone?

When I worked at a popcorn factory we had our microwaves dialed in on each line to the second. So we would only have about 3-5 un-popped kernels( a lot of times less). I’ve never seem to be able to replicate that outside of there though even with a known microwave or same products.

After you have consumed the popped… back into the microwave they go…. make a little chamber of two glass custard cups. Truly not worth the effort however.

Life hack! Run the package of popcorn under water on both side so it’s damp. Then cook it like normal. Don’t drench it or else it will take longer to pop. But this legit makes ever kernel pop.

Because you are buying cheap, low quality popcorn. Better brands do better QC, and have less duds.

Because you are not using a Whirley Pop popcorn maker! Bought one years ago… best thing ever.

You can get more to pop by pre soaking them in water for a few hours, but be prepared, the pops can get violent. Like, from normal pops to a series of rifle shots. It was shockingly loud.
