Why do Linux distros weight so much in average (>3GB), when minidistributions like SliTaz or DSL weight like a few MB doing almost the same things?

Bare bones minimum vs all the bells and whistles to make it bloated. The advantage a you can add the apps you need but ONLY if you need it on the minimum distribution.
